......To my compact malden.
Its the ochre colour and is perfect in every sense of the word!
I was, alittle worried that I wouldn't be able to make such small rings work for me but I've been pleasantly surprised.
I wanted something that I could use for everything. Now, I hear you ask "why didn't you just use your personal malden as a wallet"?! Well, I had thought about using it, but just never got round to having a try and when I saw someone on Instagram using her compact malden it was like a light went on!
I just need to get used to it being my wallet aswell as a planner! I went to the shop the other day and I'd left it at home!! #fail!
So, it's all set up, I'd originally put in my normal 6 side tabbed dividers but fast learned they weren't working, so I popped in some top tabs. Which are working perfectly now. The side tabs were getting in the way of the pen loop and were bending :(
I decided to use four top tabs and sub divide them.
The first tab is used for my diary and monthly pages. I keep three months at a time, week on two and month on two which is perfect.
My second tab is my home tab, I didn't take any pictures as it's pretty boring and has about a million lists in it!!
My third tab is my Christmas section where, I have some Christmas check lists and note paper. I got the note pad from paperchase. I cut it down to size and punched them.
I have a reindeer hambly dashboard to add stickes to, (I'm a bugger for scribbling gift ideas down and I prefure them to be on stickes!) I often have gift ideas and forget them 2 moments later so I thought this would work well?!
My forth tab is the boys sections. They are sub divided as I didn't want too any dividers.
In their sections I keep Christmas gift ideas especially for them and what they're liking at any given moment!
They each have a acetate top tab which helps me find the section where I write what they do through each month. I write about the good and the bad. For example this month, our youngest believes he is the hulk and if he's not happy he tells me "Hulk sad!" 🙈
Our eldest.... He has alittle bit of a teenage attitude and thinks he's 16!
I like to keep a journal like section because it's nice to look back and remember what silly and outright hilarious things they've done! It's my favourite part of any planner of mine which is why I just had to carry it along with me to the compact.
At the back I keep some note paper and some note cards. I find these really helpful especially if I need to send a note to Harley's teacher or something.
At the front you have the wallet part, which like I said I use as a wallet, so I have some appointment cards and credit my cards in....
On the other side to that I keep some of the usually bits and pieces I have in my personal. The glitter! (Its a must!) a spare paper clip and some of my fave stickies.....
Oh and I nearly forgot.....
I've been using a top opening envelope as a dash. I swap and change the cards in it more than I change my socks but that's the beauty of it!
I trim down project life cards or bits of paper I like the look of or cards or photos anything that tickles my fancy really!
I'm loving how it looks and how easy it is to change the look of your planner.
I'm really enjoying the compact size. I'm hoping it'll be easier for me when I'm Christmas shopping too as I have everything in one place.
I have a purple compact malden on my shop but now I'm contemplating keeping it (shhhh don't tell hubby!)
Anyway I'm off for some lunch, have a lovely day!
xoxo
