I've had lots of emails asking for a filoax update so here I am.
As you know, I'm in my pocket size and I'm loving it!
This malden is my fave out of all the maldens I own. It's perfect in every way!
I use it as a purse too. One of my words for this year is 'simplify' so I'm trying to stick with that. I'm swapping to smaller handbags and having a purse and a planner won't work.
I wasn't sure about using my filofax as a purse, I just didn't think it would work for me but, I was pleasantly suprised! I love it. It keeps the item count down in my bag and keeps everything in one place.
The pocket malden doesn't have any card slots but that's fine. I pop mine behind the zipper pocket. People have said they won't stay in place and just fall out but I've not had that problem as of yet! Maybe because I only have three cards. My credit card, my id and my health card.
I keep some change in the zipper pouch but on a whole I don't usually have that much change so it doesn't get too bulky. I have kept cash in the back pocket but I also like it in the pocket behind the zipper one.
I keep some of my favourite stickys and page flags in the front pocket too.
The first tab is my diary pages. First is my month on two and then my weekly week on two pages. These are the only diary inserts I need. The MOTP have all the appointments, after school activities, grocerie delivery days, birthdays, school holidays ect so I can see the whole month at a time. Then my WOTP is like a journal. I write what we do in the day and I also have stickies for my to-dos.
The second tab is a catchall for everything really. I have a 'love love love' page. For my hubby if I'm honest. Just incase he wants an idea of something to get me for an occasion, he can go and have a look haha!! I got this idea from a video on YouTube. Fabulous idea!
I also have some numbers and policy numbers for home. We live very close to lakes and a river so in the winter we often flood. Having the numbers writen down helps to quickly flick to them. I also have the notes and to-do pages from Kate spade and they are used for exactly that!
And the third and fourth tabs are for my boys. They each have a section. I need to get a picture of them to put with their initials! I write down things that they do that make me laugh, cry or just drive me crazy! I like to remember those things.
I have a little plastic zip inset at the back where I keep extra stickers, paper clips and page flags.
I also keep some spare project life cards in the back. I like to use them for extra note space and I've even used them for notes for my boys teachers.
These are my favourite washis to use at the moment. I love to swap and change what designs i use.
At the moment I can't make my mind up which dividers I want to use. These are my choice right now. They'll probably change tomorrow lol!
Like I said this malden is my fave of all! It's wrinkly, it smells amazing, it's floppy and the colour is perfect! It's love!
I hope y'all enjoyed my set up. It's not as complex as some but I'm enjoying how simple it is. I had lots of other sections in my planner last year but they just weren't getting used and were pretty much redundant. I'm happy with my setup now and I'm hoping I stick with my simple theme :)
Lots of love
